Health, Safety and Enviroment Policy
THE IMPORTANCE OF SAFETY, HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT PERFORMANCE AT RBEnergy
The success of a project relies on its safety, health and environmental record as much as its quality, its timeliness and its cost effectiveness.
It is the responsibility of each and every member of RBEnergy family to see that all chores are carried out in a safe manner with utmost respect to the health of all concerned and the environment we do our work in.
We should make sure that our activities will not adversely affect safety and health of people. Equal importance should be given to conservation of energy, control of pollution, proper disposal of waste and good neighbor relations.
We should endeavor to eliminate accidents that may harm people and our environment.
We shall follow the requirements of our clients: the rules, regulations and laws of our host countries in this respect.
It is our responsibility to train our people, guide them throughout their work, recognize their achievements and appraise their performance to guarantee their continued personal development in respect of safety, health and environmental awareness.
Our commitment to these issues will be monitored and reviewed by our Health and Safety Engineer, who will be directly and openly reporting to me the required financial and physical needs that will guarantee implementation of these commitments. All our members at our head office and work sites are accountable to fulfill the directives in this respect.
RBEnergy PRINCIPLES FOR SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
The following principles for safety and environmental protection apply throughout RBGroup. They define the conduct and working methods in the company in order to protect man, environment and property from harmful effect.
1. Safety in all parts of our works as well as the protection of the surrounding area and the environment are of top priority for RBEnergy Management;
2. The relevant local legislation is always binding;
3. The RBEnergy Department for Safety and environmental Protection may also lay down additional regulations which go beyond local legislation and which are valid for RBEnergy;
4. Questions of safety and environmental protection are to be treated with the same thoroughness and scientific professionalism as are applied to research and development;
5. An activity may be carried out only when a standard of safety for man and the environment corresponding to the state of the art can be guarantied. The decision whether or not to carry out an activity must be based on a risk analysis, which takes into account the interaction of human factor, the technical installations, the processes, the substances, the locations, the environment and waste disposal requirements;
6. Despite all precautionary measures, all every human activity involves some risks; contingency plans must therefore be drawn up to limit and bring under control the consequences of out-of-the ordinary incidents;
7. There is responsibility for the application and realization of these principles is born by all company employees at all levels in accordance with their function, authority, knowledge and training;
8. Employees should take the education and training in safety and environmental protection required by their task;
9. Employees, authorities, customers and public are to be informed as far as is necessary and appropriate.
